Jonah A. White


Before coming to BMD, Jonah White was an associate with a Columbus law firm working in their real estate and governmental services groups.  Jonah represented equity investors and syndicators in affordable housing and new markets tax credit transactions nationwide - assisting clients throughout the entire transaction, from initial deal structuring to post-compliance-period dispositions.  His practice focus includes real estate, corporate and public finance.

Jonah's public financing experience includes negotiating cooperative agreements between municipalities and developers to procure tax incentives and foster economic growth.  He has served as bond counsel preparing trust indentures, official statements and other transaction documents in connection with debt offerings by cities, counties, school districts, new community authorities and port authorities. 

Prior to entering private practice, Jonah worked in various areas within the federal government, including an internship with the Department of Justice and the U.S. Treasury, and a clerkship with the Honorable Deborah L. Cook of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  Before becoming an attorney, he was as a bond analyst for a major mutual fund.
