Leveraging his accounting and finance background, Kevin has a solid foundation for providing practical business advice to his clients. 

Experience

  • $3.76M in SBA loans involved in transactions successfully closed from 2017 to 2018.
  • $7.2M in SBA loans involved in transactions successfully closed from 2018 to 2019.
  • $37.793M of Freddie Mac SBL loans closed.
  • Involved in SBA closings in 50+ transactions.
  • Represented a multi-family developer in the ground-up development.  The project consisted of a historic renovation and financing of $53M mixed-use development, including 194 market rate apartments, 38 affordable apartments, 50,000 SF of commercial space and a school.  Project capital sources included:  equity from financial and strategic investors, senior secured debt from private and government lenders, mezzanine debt and various grants and other financial incentives from state, county and municipal governments as well as commercial partners.  As lead junior associate, he managed due diligence, coordinated with specialists, provided drafting and negotiation support on all aspects of the transaction.  He assisted with the closing process for land acquisitions and financing and provided on-going counsel with respect to financing, construction and organizational matters.
  • Represented a private equity fund with a $20M equity investment in a portfolio of affordable housing properties across the Southeastern U.S. 
  • Represented an equipment leasing company in the refinancing of a $10M asset-based loan with a $50M revolving credit facility. 
  • Represented buyer in acquisition of metal fabricating and finishing business and related real estate ($1,350,000).  Drafted and negotiated Asset Purchase Agreement, Real Estate Purchase Agreement and related acquisition documents; negotiated SBA 7(a) loan documents; coordinated the acquisition and financing closings.
  • Represented buy in acquisition of electrical and other mechanical project cost estimation businesses ($900,000).  Drafted and negotiated Asset Acquisition Agreement and ancillary acquisition documents, SBA 7(a) loan documents and lease.
  • Represented buyer in acquisition of 8,000 SF office condominium property in office park located in Westlake, Ohio ($1,150,000); represented seller in sale of two duplex properties in Lakewood ($90,000) and Rocky River ($120,000); coordinated 1031 exchange among three transactions.
