Overview

Prior to joining BMD, Dustin was a founding partner at Libby Sparks Willis Starnes PLLC. He provides a wide range of business transaction services for the firm's clients, from assisting start-up businesses to providing a wide range of transactional services to rapidly growing and mature businesses.

Dustin is a member of the Texas Bar Association, Tax Section and the Dallas Bar Association, Tax Section. He is also a Lifetime Member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers DAYL and a member of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. He is admitted to the bar in Texas and South Dakota. His hobbies include golf, tennis, hunting, fishing, and spending time with the family traveling, especially to Colorado.

Overview

Jeff's practice specializes in commercial real estate transactions in which he assists clients on a local and national basis in a wide array of development, ownership, management, financing, leasing, and construction matters. Jeff primarily represents developers and owners in connection with site acquisition, due diligence, subdivision and platting, zoning and entitlements, financing, construction, leasing, management, and asset disposition.

Prior to joining BMD, Jeff co-founded Libby Sparks Willis Starnes PLLC. He has been a licensed real estate broker with the Texas Real Estate Commission and is also affiliated with the International Council of Shopping Centers, Texas Bar Association, and The Real Estate Council. Jeff is a proud graduate of Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas where he remains an active volunteer, especially with Jesuit's Adopt-A-Family Program, which he founded in 1992. In his spare time, Jeff loves to spend time with his family and make music; most Sundays he can be found playing drums at the contemporary service at St. Monica Catholic Church.

Eric C. Willis Member

Overview

Eric focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial finance and real estate, including real estate finance, commercial lending, real estate acquisition, land development and disposition, and leasing.

Eric assists clients in all phases of the development process, from initial due diligence, entitlements, and other acquisition issues to negotiation of purchase and sale contracts, loan documents and closing documents. He is also experienced in retail and office leasing, having represented landlords and tenants in shopping center and office building leases throughout the country.

Aside from development, leasing and acquisition/disposition of real estate, Eric has substantial experience in a variety of commercial lending transactions, including real estate financing, construction financing, cash flow lending, mezzanine financing and asset-based financing. He is also experienced in loan workouts and foreclosures. Throughout his career, he has represented national banks, institutional investors, and other lenders in connection with commercial finance transactions secured by a variety of assets, including commercial real estate (office, multifamily, hotels, etc.), inventory and receivables.

Prior to joining BMD, Eric co-founded Libby Sparks Willis Starnes PLLC and also practiced at large, international law firms on large-scale, sophisticated financing and acquisition transactions.

Eric takes a very practical, business-minded approach to practicing law, helping guide his clients through the process by focusing on key issues while not getting bogged down in minutia.

Eric and his wife have two boys, and his family attends Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas.

He is well-respected as an aggressive advocate on behalf of his clients and takes pride in his highly organized approach to managing cases, mastering both the facts and the law so that he can go into any courtroom or negotiation knowing the case better than his adversary. Spencer advises and assists clients with their business life cycle and contract negotiation needs.

Specifically, Spencer focuses on business formation, funding through equity and debt, and business acquisitions and dispositions. Spencer has assisted clients in a wide array of fields including real estate, development, public-private contracts, construction, manufacturing, entertainment, health care, and transportation.

Communication and responsiveness are keys to any successful attorney-client relationship. When you work with Spencer, he'll strive to quickly and clearly provide any information you request. Before becoming an attorney, Spencer worked on farms, ranches, dairies, and as a personal trainer. In his free time, he enjoys running, swimming, and biking.

J Bailey is an attorney whose broad-based practice encompasses the areas of business and commercial transactions, as well as a broad range of litigation matters. As part of his transactional practice, he negotiates and drafts contracts and advises clients in business entity formation and organization, corporate governance and compliance matters, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, business financing, and real estate leasing, sales, development, and financing transactions.

While in law school, J served on the Board of Advocates, was Director of the Calvert Moot Court Competition and competed on the ABA Arbitration team. He also externed with the General Counsel's office at the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture and the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission.
