Christopher M. Calpin


Chris is an associate attorney, developingĀ a practice focused on commercial litigation. Prior to joining BMD's Columbus, Ohio office, Chris worked as an associate in the Tax Credit & Community Development practice group of a large law firm headquartered in Ohio. In this role, Chris represented investors and syndicators in various federal tax credit and tax incentive transactions involving the low-income housing tax credit, new markets tax credit, investment tax credit, production tax credit, and qualified opportunity zone program. Chris also has experience in representing various insurers offering representations/warranties and tax credit coverage relating to the purchase of utility-scale solar and wind facilities.

Kathryn Preston, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and worked as a judicial extern for The Honorable Mark L. Pietrykowski, Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals.
