The GAC honored thirty young professionals (ages 25-39) who are recognized as trendsetters in their industries, leaders in their organizations and in the community, and catalysts for growth and impact.
Monica Andress is a full-service employment attorney with experience advocating for the best interests of entities of all sizes and across various industries, advising the same on a broad spectrum of workplace questions and concerns including, without limitation: wage and hour issues; compliance considerations; policy construction and review; contractual negotiations and dispute resolution; and highly complex, sensitive employee investigations. Ms. Andress, further, has experience navigating the vast legal landscape that is workplace discrimination claims, investigations, negotiations, and resolutions as well as other matters related to both federal and state equal opportunity compliance.

Prior to her admission into the Bar, Monica spent nearly two years expanding her knowledge and experience as a law clerk for BMD and a participant in the firm's Summer Associate Program.
Before joining BMD, Monica spent three years as a bailiff and law clerk at the Stow Municipal Court and then completed a clerkship with the United States Air Force JAG Corps at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada where she assisted in a variety of practice areas including labor and employment.
Monica was an active leader in her academic career at the University of Akron School of Law, where she was an Associate Editor of the Akron Law Review, a member of the Student Bar Association, and the Student Director for the Akron Law Alumni Board of Directors. Monica graduated with honors in December 2020.
