Overview
Prior to joining Brennan Manna & Diamond, Patrick worked as an appeals attorney in the Chief Counsel's office of the Ohio Department of Taxation where he specialized in a variety of state and local tax issues affecting individual income tax, pass-through entity taxes, franchise taxes, motor fuel tax, excise taxes, and the commercial activity tax. With the Department, he drafted a number of notable and influential final determinations on a variety of novel topics. He worked directly with taxpayers and their representatives to negotiate settlements and to arrive at the proper legal solution.
Patrick has also worked on both debtor and creditor ends of real estate foreclosures, drafted land contracts, performed title searches, and performed a variety of litigation and dispute resolution matters.
In law school, he served on the Capital University Law School Moot Court Board and competed in the Ruby R. Vale Corporate Law Moot Court competition.
He served as a VITA volunteer and has volunteered as judge for college and law school mock trial and moot court competitions throughout the state.
