BMD Welcomes Robyn Hattaway as Of Counsel in Orlando

ORLANDO, FL –– February 23, 2026 –– Brennan Manna Diamond (BMD) is pleased to announce that Robyn Hattaway has joined the firm's Orlando office as Of Counsel.

Licensed in Florida and Georgia, Robyn brings more than 15 years of experience advising businesses, physicians, property owners, and public entities on complex legal and regulatory matters. She represents new businesses navigating start-up challenges and established enterprises pursuing strategic, sustainable growth.

“Robyn is a tremendous addition to our Orlando office,” said Robert Lee, Managing Partner of BMD’s Orlando office. “Her blend of practical business counseling and experience with complex legal and regulatory matters will be a strong asset for our clients. Her thoughtful approach and deep engagement in the community aligns with the values and goals of our firm.”

Robyn’s practice spans the space and aerospace industries, advanced manufacturing and thin-film technologies, healthcare professionals ranging from solo practitioners to growing physician groups, real estate investors, franchises, and other business ventures. Robyn advises on corporate governance, business structuring, finance, compliance, and risk-management matters. She drafts and negotiates operating agreements, sales contracts, commercial leases, franchise agreements, lending transactions, and employment agreements, and guides clients through transactions involving multiple stakeholders, including lenders, regulators, and public-sector entities.

In addition to her transactional work, Robyn has experience in business, real-property, and franchise litigation, as well as responding to regulatory and consumer complaints from state and federal agencies. She takes a practical, collaborative approach, serving as an extension of her clients’ leadership teams and building legal infrastructure that supports long-term business objectives.

Robyn previously served as an elected Commissioner and Treasurer of the Canaveral Port Authority. She brings experience in local government, land use, and public-sector decision-making, including representing clients before municipal boards and advising on regulatory and policy matters involving public entities. She remains active in the Space Coast community and serves on the boards of Ascend Brevard, Family Promise of Brevard, Health First Foundation, and LEAD Brevard.

Robyn earned her J.D. from Emory University and her B.A. in Sociology and Government from The University of Texas at Austin. She resides in Merritt Island with her husband. They have two grown sons and a rescue Labrador named Coupe.

BMD Announces Jessica K. Hew Promoted to Partner

Attorney Jessica K. Hew has been promoted to Partner, effective March 15, 2024. Jessica joined the firm’s Orlando office in early 2023, returning to private practice after working as in-house general counsel after working as a Vice-President, Underwriting Counsel managing the Florida Commercial Division Agencies for a national title insurance underwriter and managing international legal expense contracts for an international cloud-based business payment solution company.

Press Release: Rick Burke named 2024 H. Peter Burg Award recipient by Red Cross of Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley

Rick is receiving the H. Peter Burg Community Leadership Award for his leadership at Brennan, Manna & Diamond, LLC, as well as in the community. He has served countless organizations such as Akron Children’s Hospital, the Akron Rotary Club, and the University of Akron Foundation Gifts & Estate Planning Committee. Rick has also served as a Board member and Board Chair for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Akron, Mobile Meals, Access, Inc., Greenleaf Family Services, the American Red Cross of Akron and the Greater Mahoning Valley, Northern Ohio Golf Charities, the Northern Ohio Golf Charities Foundation, and Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens.  In addition, Rick has accumulated 40 years of service as a volunteer at Firestone Country Club on behalf of Northern Ohio Golf Charities and was Tournament Chair of the 1996 NEC Invitational-World Golf Championship (now known as the Kaulig Companies Championship).  Rick was a member of Leadership Akron Class IX and has been a recipient of the (Summa) Charles Deering Legacy Advisor Leadership Award 2017 as well as the University of Akron School of Law 2018 Outstanding Alumni Award.
