Unprecedented Medicare Reversal Victory for BMD's Health Law Department

BMD's RAC Team, lead by attorney, Amanda L. Waesch, reversed a $3.6 million over-payment at Level 1.
The MAC (Medicare Administrative Contractors) threw out the extrapolation and found that 3 of the 49 audited charts were partially favorable. The matter is now moving onto Level 2 with an amount in controversy of approximately $100,000.
Amanda Waesch noted that, "Frankly, this is unprecedented. Typically, you do not see any favorable decisions until Level 3 before an Administrative law judge (4 years from now)." This is BMD's largest Medicare victory to date.
