Overview

Fred represents owners, construction managers, contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers in disputes ranging from contract negotiations, nonpayment, and loss prevention to delay claims and all forms of litigation and appeal. Fred has served as First Chair of a two-week arbitration before a three-member panel, defending third-party claims seeking recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars while prosecuting counterclaims for millions, which resulted in a successful verdict for the client.

Trained by the AIA in interpreting and presenting on AIA contract documents, Fred has presented on a wide range of topics and legal developments impacting the construction industry. He has also been retained by trade and design professional associations to file amicus curiae briefs in cases impacting the construction industry.

In addition to his construction law practice, Fred has extensive litigation experience across a broad range of matters, from criminal prosecutions to complex mass tort claims arising from losses. He is committed to protecting his clients' interests and advocating on their behalf to achieve practical, results-oriented solutions.

Fred resides in Columbus with his wife, Amy, and their three boys, Logan, Connor, and Jack.
