New CMS Rule Requires Select Healthcare Facilities to Have Vaccinated Employees – Does it Apply to You?
Microsoft Teams Nov 17, 2021 2:00PM-3:00PM
On November 5, 2021, the Biden-Harris Administration passed a new rule which requires certain Medicare and Medicaid-certified facilities to implement mandatory vaccination policies for their employees. Qualified vaccines are limited to Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson. Phase 1 of the rule will require employees to receive their first dose of a vaccine by December 6, 2021 (or last dose if J&J), and Phase 2 will require employees to receive their second dose by January 4, 2022. However, employees may still seek medical or religious exemptions, excluding them from the vaccination requirement. For more information on which select healthcare facilities will be required under this rule, click here for an informative client alert by Bryan Meek.
On Wednesday, November 17 at 2:00 pm EST, join Healthcare and Hospital Law Member Amanda Waesch and L+E Partner Bryan Meek for a 60-minute webinar to see if the new rule applies to your facility, and if so, what steps should be taken to comply.
To register for the webinar, please RSVP via email to Dustin Craft by clicking here. A recording of the presentation will be distributed to all RSVPs following the conclusion of the webinar.
