Daniel J. Batista
Attorney
Daniel is an Attorney in BMD's Orlando office and part of the firm's Litigation and Business & Corporate practice groups. He has experience representing clients throughout the entire litigation process, from pre-suit discussions to trial. His practice also includes commercial and international transactions.
Since graduating from law school in 2018, Daniel has honed his litigation skills defending various types of negligence and breach of contract cases. Daniel is a passionate and effective oral advocate both in and out of the courtroom. He has also developed effective negotiation skills that allow him to de-escalate tense situations and find favorable resolutions for his clients.
At BMD, Daniel focuses the bulk of his practice on litigation dealing with complex business and commercial disputes.

Overview
Prior to joining BMD, Daniel developed a broad litigation skillset defending insurance companies and their insureds from various types of general negligence and breach of contract claims. This gives Daniel a well-rounded approach to his work that is grounded in an understanding of litigation from both a tort and contract perspective.
Daniel is known for finding creative and innovative solutions that are well tailored to the client's specific needs and for defending the client's interests throughout the discovery process once a case is formally in suit. He has successfully secured summary judgments in numerous breach of contract cases, along with case dismissals, judgments on the pleadings, and directed verdicts at trial. Additionally, Daniel has obtained favorable trial verdicts for his clients in the context of general negligence disputes that went to trial in Florida state court.
