BMD has a distinguished history of appellate practice before state and federal appeals courts. Having received national recognition for appellate advocacy, and applying the knowledge acquired while clerking for appellate and lower courts, our attorneys stand in a unique position to assist clients through the appeals-court process. We have appeared on behalf of clients at all phases of proceedings and at the highest levels of jurisdictions, submitted petitions for certiorari, appellate briefs, motions to the appellate courts and have argued before them. Having presided over the client’s matter initially in the lower-court proceedings or engaged exclusively at the appellate level, BMD's appellate attorneys are able to effectively identify the appealable issues and prosecute or defend the same.
