BMD Expands Litigation Capabilities and Michigan Presence with Addition of Kenneth Williams and Team

Press Release

Experienced litigation team adds national trial experience, established client relationships, and enhanced insurance, commercial, product liability, and transportation law capabilities.

Brennan, Manna & Diamond, LLC (BMD) is pleased to announce that experienced trial attorney Kenneth P. Williams has joined the firm as a Member, accompanied by Senior Counsel Jazmine Janine L. Dykes and an established team of litigation professionals. The addition expands BMD’s national litigation platform, strengthens the firm’s presence in Michigan and the greater Detroit market, and advances its strategic objective of serving clients across practices and geographic regions.

The move adds a cohesive team with existing working relationships, significant litigation experience, and a strong commitment to client service. Led by Kenneth P. Williams, the group will serve clients primarily from Michigan while collaborating with BMD attorneys and professionals across the firm’s offices. The team brings established client relationships and reinforces BMD’s ability to handle complex litigation in multiple jurisdictions.

“The addition of Ken and his team reflects BMD's continued commitment to strategic growth in key markets and practice areas,” said Justin M. Alaburda, President of Brennan, Manna & Diamond. “Ken has built an impressive litigation practice, developed strong client relationships, and assembled a highly talented team of professionals who share our entrepreneurial mindset and dedication to client service. Their experience strengthens our ability to serve clients facing complex litigation challenges while advancing our long-term growth objectives in Michigan and across the regions where our clients operate. We are excited to welcome this outstanding team to BMD and look forward to the value they will bring to our clients and our firm.”

Kenneth P. Williams focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage matters, and product liability defense. He represents corporations, insurance carriers, and other clients in coverage, property, product liability, employment, and civil rights litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country. His practice also encompasses cybersecurity coverage, transportation and rideshare liability, insurance bad-faith claims, declaratory relief actions, and risk-management counseling. With substantial trial experience, Kenneth P. Williams has handled civil matters in Michigan, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas. He previously served as a managing attorney for a national insurance carrier and has also served as an arbitrator and mediator through appointments from courts and private counsel. In addition, he is a national speaker on litigation strategy, insurance coverage, autonomous vehicle liability, cybersecurity, claims management and emerging risks affecting insurers and businesses.

“Joining BMD creates an opportunity for our team to build upon the client relationships and collaborative working model we have developed over many years,” said Kenneth P. Williams. “BMD’s entrepreneurial culture, broad business-law capabilities, and commitment to aligning legal strategy with client objectives provide a strong platform for expanding our litigation practice in Michigan and serving clients nationally.”

Jazmine Janine L. Dykes joins BMD as Senior Counsel. Her practice focuses on general liability and casualty litigation, including premises liability as well as trucking and motor-vehicle liability matters. She also brings appellate experience from her service as a judicial law clerk for Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal. Jazmine Janine L. Dykes is licensed in Michigan and Florida.

Joining the attorneys is a skilled group of litigation and administrative professionals, including Robin Stinnett, Marina Boutakoff, Tanya Gulley, Kimberly Ollila, Carrie Bierschbach, Rebecca Stefanko, and Danielle Yonders. Collectively, the team brings significant experience in litigation support, case management, discovery, document management, trial preparation, appellate work, and client service.

The addition enhances BMD’s ability to serve corporations, insurers, and businesses in matters involving commercial disputes, insurance coverage, product liability, transportation, employment litigation, cybersecurity-related risks, and other complex civil claims. It also expands the firm’s capacity to support clients whose matters cross jurisdictions and requires coordinated teams with trial, appellate, claims and industry experience.
