- Represent clients in trucking and train related litigation, including cargo claims, personal injury, insurance claims, employment matters, restrictive covenant enforcement, and workers’ compensation matters
- Draft, negotiate, and review transportation and logistics contracts, including rail track easement agreements, rail service agreements and related industry track documents
- Advise on driver and equipment leasing arrangements and agency agreements
- Manage real estate transactions related to transportation facilities and logistics hubs including any zoning or land use issues
- Counsel clients on regulatory compliance, including hazardous materials and multi-modal transportation
- Advise on and litigate Carmack Amendment claims (49 U.S.C. § 14706)
- Advise on state and federal transportation-related tax matters
- Represent clients in matters related to license and lease issues
- Navigate international and cross-border transportation laws and regulations
- Guide clients through labor, employment, and independent contractor classification issues
- Provide legal guidance on drone (UAS) use, internal policy development, and FAA compliance
- Craft restrictive covenant agreements tailored to employees in the industry
- Address UCC liens and garnishments
